Lynch Mob review and George Lynch interview at examiner.com
Syracuse has a rich history of music that is on par locally with any scene in the world; from jazz, rock and roll, and Top-40 to country, thrash, heavy metal, hard rock and the blues. Musicians here have done it just as well as anyone over the years.
The introduction of L.A. style infused metal bands along with another British invasion in the 80’s has its share of critics; but one thing that era still had was some hard rock driven blues flavored music. Big guitars with bigger solos, wide sweeping arpeggios with music that still had hints of some of the greats like Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Clapton. Most of that seemed to disappear somewhere in the 90’s, mostly remembered for grunge; or music that really had little depth.
